Campbell Castle was built from 1886 to 1888 by Colonel Burton Harvey Campbell, on the banks of the Lower Arkansas River. The 10,457 SF Castle on 2.0 acres has 28 rooms, including 13 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms; the 3000 SF Carriage House has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths with the second floor being a 1500 SF owner’s apartment. In 1973 the building was entered on the United States National Register of Historic Places as “a building of architectural significance.” Many of the interior features were imported from around the world, one of these amazing antiques is a 680 year old Grecian fireplace in the entrance, with dual posts on the main staircase in the Grand Foyer being imported from Spain, the 280 year old staircase is from London and the list goes on. Six of the 16 guestrooms have Jacuzzis, twelve of the guestrooms have fireplaces. The Castle has been used as a B&B and wedding venue, however, the property would lend itself to a corporate headquarters or private residence.
